Representing the legal affairs department of NACDS, Mary Ellen Kleiman manages a different role than many of our guests who are often executive directors or communication directors of a trade association. Today’s guest emphasizes the importance of pharmacists in the healthcare system because they are one of the easiest members of the health community to access — over 90% of Americans live within five minutes of a pharmacist.

Bio:

Mary Ellen Kleiman is Vice President for Legal Affairs and Deputy General Counsel at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS). In her role at NACDS, Ms. Kleiman serves as counsel to the association and as a valuable legal and policy advisor to the association’s chain drug store members on the myriad of federal and state laws and policies which impact them and the patients they serve.
